Sonja was okay but Coppelia could sing well and was even asked to sing with a band when she left school. Meg seems okay. When I look at Tyler, Austin and Zoe's love of music and singing it is nice to think that your family has been doing this for generations.

KerryAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6108283190671015318.post-47702861545502917842013-04-25T01:47:18.358+10:002013-04-25T01:47:18.358+10:00It's interesting to look back at the previous ...It's interesting to look back at the previous generations. I agree that when you are young it is not easy to understand. But as you get older and you can look back 30 or 40 years of your own life it starts to make sense. I heard family stories from my mother and grandmother in the days before technology. Now all we can do is write them down until someone is interested enough to read them. Thanks for reading.
This was about your great-grandfather, there will be another family one for Anzac Day - about your grandfather.
:)Janine Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11303851595351976670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6108283190671015318.post-60948404689188268032013-04-24T16:31:59.808+10:002013-04-24T16:31:59.808+10:00Wow how interesting, I't really is hard for th...Wow how interesting, I't really is hard for the younger generations to remember that there was life before us, and quite a lot of it too. History to us is what we can remember from our own lives. I guess families don't sit around in the evenings sharing stories like they used to, it's all Facebook, iPods and TV these days.

Thanks Mum, that was very interesting!
JaredAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00364319464044297453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6108283190671015318.post-42968984271424230442013-04-22T03:15:21.501+10:002013-04-22T03:15:21.501+10:00The no reply function has been reversed now Rachae...The no reply function has been reversed now Rachael, thanks for pointing that out.
Janine CJanine Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11303851595351976670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6108283190671015318.post-27293903134665885852013-04-21T07:24:56.427+10:002013-04-21T07:24:56.427+10:00Hi Janine. I was inspired by this fabulous quilt photo at flicker:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/35562744@N03/4642319180/in/photostream/
It's such an effective pattern. I made my squares 8 inches then cut them diagnoally and sewed a 2 inch strip in between then trimmed them back to 8 inch squares. sew them together, it's a great project when you just feel like lots of machine sewing,
It must be so interesting researching your family history.
Rachaeldaisyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15437603769773251690noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6108283190671015318.post-75210419037046624772013-04-19T03:04:07.423+10:002013-04-19T03:04:07.423+10:00Good to see the old photoGood to see the old photoAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
